Our Weekend Wrap Up

We have had a busy, but fun weekend. Here is the wrap up:


On Friday we attended Madeleine's school carnival. I was actually a volunteer and worked the Hidden Treasure Game.

Steven had the girls and they enjoyed having their hair spray painted (I cannot say that I would have encouraged this had I been in charge) They slid down an 18 foot slide. Here they are climbing up it. Steven said they came down too fast for him to snap a picture.They also played many games where they earned coins that they could later redeem for prizes.

Today, Madeleine attended a birthday party for her good friend, Olivia. It was a unique party in that it was hosted by The Bead People. Each little girl was given the materials to make 2 little people out of beads that they later put on a necklace chain. If you have time, click on the link I included and check out their website. Some of the girls were very tedious and particular about the beads they chose as well as their placement. Madeleine did not happen to be one of those girls. She likes to think outside of the box and chose any ole' bead and put it wherever it fit; even if it meant cramming it into a tight space. Here are some pictures of my creative genius at work:
