Labor Day is a day to relax and we did just that. We originally had plans to go to a nearby park for a picnic and hiking with my parents, but that was cancelled due to some events that unfolded yesterday (see previous post). With Audrey getting over a virus and having a crazy day yesterday we figured it would be best to take it easy today. We ordered a bucket of KFC and had a picnic in our own backyard.
It was HOT today but that did not stop the girls from playing and swinging.
After lunch Audrey took a 3 hour nap while Steven, Madeleine, and I curled up on the couch and watched a movie; The Spiderwick Chronicles. We rounded out the day with an evening walk, baths, and bedtime stories. It was a great day and tomorrow it is back to work (Steven) and back to school (Madeleine). I think Audrey and I will clean (but that's another story). I hope you all had a relaxing Labor Day as well.
