Adventures with Audrey

I am taking a break to blog while Audrey takes her nap. As I write this I am having a flash back to my childhood. I have pulled out all of my old Amy Grant Cd's; her stuff from the 80's!!! The very music I used to spend hours lip syncing to while creating dance moves, all done while observing myself in the mirror. I even busted a move or two while I was making lunch this afternoon and it literally made Audrey laugh. Anyway, I have digressed!

I have spent an enjoyable morning with Audrey. We started the morning off with some pampering. I painted her toenails and she watched as I painted mine.

After that we enjoyed a leisurely walk. She pushed her baby doll in a stroller and had a grand ole' time. I followed her and allowed her to choose which way we would go (within reason). There were a couple instances when she wanted to veer away from the sidewalk and into the street, but other than that she was a good leader.
Then after a snack she played with her castle and Madeleine's princess figurines (her favorite past time while Madeleine is at school).




By the way, I did not distract her by getting out said castle and princess figurines so I could watch a segment on The View. In my defense, Elizabeth Hasselbeck was taking Whoopi Goldberg dress shopping. Whoopi never wears dresses. Anyway, that has been our day so far and even though I miss Madeleine while she is at school, I am enjoying my new found alone time with Audrey.
