The Saga of the Homeless Kittens

In my last project 365 post I included a picture of Madeleine petting some kittens we came across at a pet store. I also mentioned the drama that ensued when we had to leave the kittens behind. Unfortunately, the drama did not end there. On Monday she presented Steven and I with the following story (I have also typed it out to help interpret it):

I was petting a kitten. It was nice. If I did get it I would name them Dede, Abby, and Ahn. I like kitten. They are nice a lot. Then mom said time to go get the cat food and we saw mouse. Mom saw the cat food. We got it. Mom tell me I could go see the kitten. I did. I was going to tell her if we did not get them I would cry but we did not but I did not say that and I cry the way home a lot. I was sad and I miss them a lot. The End.
As you can tell Madeleine has a big heart for animals and a flare for drama. Mom and dad, does this sound familiar?

It sounds so familar! Except in this case perhaps you should have let my beautiful granddaughter have the 3 little kitties. ;)

Ahh, so sad. But good to see her writing as a way to process her feelings. She can start her own blog soon.

Good job with the story! I wish the boys liked to write...Hmmm, maybe another kitty would help with your rodent issue?
