Madeleine is wearing the hat she earned by letting me take out her earrings, clean her ears, & put the earrings back in. You would not believe the drama involved in taking care of her pierced ears!
She loves the hat so much that she wears it all the time. Here she is still wearing it at the end of the day.

This is my lovely kitty, Sunny D. Yes, once again I had an "I forgot to take a picture" moment at the end of the day. Luckily she was sitting on the couch looking beautiful. :)

This is a picture I took of a picture. That is my Mama Ann holding Madeleine when she was 3 months old.

The picture was taken in the Ozarks when we traveled there 7 years ago to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of my grandparents. I pulled this picture out today to show Madeleine because Mama Ann passed away this morning. We will be traveling to San Antonio possibly as soon as tomorrow for her funeral. Since I am without words this afternoon I will share the following bible verse that my cousin posted on face book this morning.

"Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him." 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-14
