Nine Years and Counting . . .

Happy Anniversary, Steven! Nine years ago we said "I do". As I write this, the following Shania Twain song keeps running through my head:

Looks like we made it
Look how far we've come my baby
We mighta took the long way
We knew we'd get there someday

Bridge:
They said, "I bet they'll never make it"
But just look at us holding on
We're still together still going strong

When we got married 9 years ago we were young and naive; we had no idea that when we said we would love each other for better or worse, that we would live through "the worse" before "the better". I am confident that when we got married there were people who thought we wouldn't make it & during our first 4 years of marriage when we faced a heart breaking end to a pregnancy, the premature birth of our second daughter, and financial crisis, I had my doubts as well. However, we're still together & still going strong. Dare I say that I love you more today than the day I married you.

The past nine years may not have been the stuff of fairy tales, but I wouldn't trade them for the world. I can't think of anyone I would rather go through life's stuff with. I love you!
