A Taste of Spring

In honor of today's 50 degrees, we went to the park. Let me take a moment to gush over the fact that it was 50 degrees today. It was fabulous! It has not been that warm since December 1 (that would be 3 months) and we have had snow on the ground for almost just as long. To say that it has been a long winter would be an understatement. The girls were so excited that they took off running the moment their little feet hit the pavement. Unfortunately, Madeleine's feet got ahead of her and she fell . . . in a mud puddle. We had to turn around and go home so she could change clothes, but we headed right back. As you will be able to see from the following pictures, they had a great time!

The one nice thing I can say about Winter is that its constant cold and dreariness guarantees that I will appreciate all that Spring has to offer that much more. If the 7 day forecast holds true, the 50 degree temps are going to stick around for awhile.

Take a second to scroll down to see another post I wrote today. It is about a research project Madeleine did.
