On Monday we had a play date to bid farewell to some of our closest friends (you can visit their blog here) who relocated to MN. I even picked up Madeleine from school early that day so she would not have to miss out on the opportunity to say "see you later". We didn't actually say good-bye because we know it is not the end of the road.

That just further proves my point that Spring is never going to find Lincoln this year. However, when life gives you lemons you make lemonade. Audrey and I had an indoor picnic complete with our own make believe sun (note the candle in the background)

Grammy's Birthday celebration. Steven, Gracie, Dad, & I made her a typical southern dinner consisting of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and collard greens (which I don't like by the way). Dad made her a Humming Bird Cake for dessert, and to end the evening we played the game I bought her for a present. It was a great night!

Madeleine attended the birthday party of her best friend today. After a movie and lunch, she got to paint her own nails. Here she is modeling her work.

In a desperate attempt to do something fun and get out of the house, we went to Morrill Hall this afternoon after church. Here is a picture of Steven and the girls posing in front of the entrance.
