Project 365

3/15/10
This is a tea set that my sister painted for Madeleine many years ago . . . when she was still a baby. I have had it wrapped in tissue paper, stored in a shoe box ever since. I thought it was too precious to display, let alone play with. Then, at a friend's house last week, I saw that she had a similar tea set that the kids were allowed to play with and the song How You Live popped into my head. Particularly the line that says Wear your red dress Use your good dishes. So, we are going to live a little and use our good tea set. :)

Recently I bought a bag to store my laptop in when it is not in use and for whatever reason, our cat LOVES it. She uses it as a scratching post (this is okay since she doesn't have her front claws), rubs up against it, and as you can see from this picture she loves to curl up in it. No need to spend lots of money on expensive cat beds or toys. A laptop bag makes this kitty very happy.

I used to play the guitar. In fact, I taught myself and would practice until my fingers bled. Unfortunately, I have forgotten how to play but am inspired to learn again.

Since I unpacked the tea set it has become one of Audrey's favorite things to play with.

The first day of Spring and there is snow on my daffodils.

Since I am lacking in creativity and inspiration this afternoon, today's picture is of a squirrel. I took the picture from my living room window so as not to scare it away.
