Our Week

Since it is Saturday I am taking a moment to reflect on the past 7 days and what a busy 7 days they were! We participated in VBS and while it was fun it was also exhausting (for me anyway). I helped in the "Walker's Room" and the ages of the kids ranged from 12-24 months. We usually had about 15 kids & what an experience that was! There was always a nose to be wiped or a diaper to be changed. However, there was also plenty of time for cuddling & belly tickling, reading stories & playing outside. There were a lot of precious children in that class & I enjoyed being able to serve, but boy am I thankful that the week is over. There is nothing like 15 toddlers to wear you out.

My favorite part about VBS was hearing Madeleine tell me about what she learned. On Tuesday her class learned about a missionary family serving in Bolivia. She told me all about them and asked if the reason I go to work is to feed the hungry children in Bolivia. Here is a picture of her at the closing program last night. If she looks small, it is because she was standing up and singing along with the 4th graders. Her class had already sang, but I guess she figured she knew the 4th grader's song also and might as well sing along with them. She is a performer at heart. This morning we attended the birthday party of two of Madeleine and Audrey's good friends. They had a great time running off some energy at a park and are looking forward to another birthday party tomorrow. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the park today:

Taking a break to look for bunnies. :)
