Madeleine and Audrey danced in a recital this weekend. While it was old hat for Madeleine, it was Audrey's first time. Both of them danced beautifully and I couldn't be prouder.
Part of the fun of dance recitals is being required to wear make up. After applying the red lipstick Madeleine pranced around the house vain as a peacock. She couldn't stop looking at herself. I can't say I blame her; she did look lovely.

Madeleine and Audrey are posing with their flowers after the show. Since last year was our first dance recital experience, Steven and I didn't know that it is tradition to give the dancer flowers. This year we knew better and spread the word to all of our family who would be attending. Madeleine and Audrey were showered with many beautiful flowers!
Madeleine especially enjoyed herself and is already talking about next year's recital; "I wonder what song we will dance to. I wonder what we will wear". I, on the other, hand am looking forward to sleeping in on Saturday mornings now that dance is over for the summer.
