Audrey as the Preschool Graduate

Audrey graduated from her first year of preschool yesterday evening. It hardly seems possible since it feels like it was just yesterday that I dropped her off at preschool for the first time. I am not too crazy about how quickly time flies because that means the coming year will go by just as quickly and my baby will be headed to kindergarten. However, I am getting ahead of myself and will focus on the now; Audrey's preschool graduation.

Before we left for the big event, we gave her some gifts to celebrate the occasion. She was ecstatic to open up a pair of Tinkerbell sandals and a Dora book.
Upon arriving at the church where her graduation took place (& where she attends preschool) I snapped some pictures of her with her classmates and best friends. Audrey is pictured with her best friends Anara, Adalyn, Mia and her classmate Taelyn.
Audrey and Anara; great friends and classmates. Anara was here visiting from MN where she and her family recently moved. We were so excited that they were able to come back for a visit and to participate in preschool graduation. Audrey and Anara are two peas in a pod; stubborn, strong-willed, and adorable!
Posing for a quick picture on stage.
Posing with a present from Grammy and Papa that she opened quickly before heading on stage to graduate.
This picture was taken shortly after Anara & Audrey took their place on the stage.
Singing her heart out.
The sweetest part of the program was when the kids sang "Bloom Where You're Planted" and wore these adorable flower hats as props.
Receiving her diplomaShe got to wear a graduation cap and all.
Posing with her beloved teacher, Mrs. C. Audrey's future kindergarten teacher will have some big shoes to fill.
After the program was over we stayed and enjoyed cookies and punch. It was at that time I took this picture of Madeleine with her future husband. At least that is what his mom, Hilary (one of my best friends) and I are praying for.
Now that preschool is over for the year I have to prepare myself to explain to Audrey every day that "no, you don't have preschool tomorrow and you won't until September". Sigh.
