Snow Day

It was just last week that I wrote of the beautiful, spring like weather we were experiencing. However, there is a saying in Nebraska that goes something like this, "If you don't like the weather, wait a couple minutes and it will change". Change it has! It has been snowing since I woke up. Here are some pictures I took from inside the warmth of my house:

Our swing set is covered in snow. Oh how my girls long to swing from it again.

Our sad tree.

The joys of not having a garage big enough for our van.

Since I grew up in Texas (even though I will officially be a Nebraskan at the end of the month) I LOVE the Spring and Summer. I would much rather it be 100 degrees outside than cold and snowy. Winter and I don't get along; I become grouchy. Since it is too cold outside to have a traditional picnic (or as Audrey says, 'pipnic') we decided to have one inside today.

I guess you learn to do the best with your circumstances. :)

PS It's not an official snow day until LPS calls it. Let's all sleep with spoons under our pillows tonight!
