If you have been following my blog you know that I mentioned at one time that I decided a long time ago that I would officially be a Nebraskan on my 29th birthday. The reason I chose that number is because I was 14 when I moved to NE and turning 29 meant I had lived in NE one more year than I had lived in TX. Well, I have survived to see that day as today is my 29th birthday. I was surprised to find out that Steven had taken the day off to spend with the girls and I. He made me breakfast and the girls presented me with gifts that they picked out all by themselves.
Madeleine picked out this lovely wall hanging for me "because mommy's favorite color is purple".
Audrey thought I might need to relax and gave me the gift of shower gel and lotion. :)

After breakfast we went to the Children's Museum to let the girls run off some steam.

Afterwards we indulged ourselves and ate at our favorite Mexican resteraunt; Las Margaritas. It is the closest thing to real Mexican food we have found since moving to NE. And, of course, a birthday would not be complete without a cake and Steven outdid himself. He made "Better Than Almost Anything Cake".

I must say that the best part of my day would be opening up my e-mail to find a message that my cousin, Erika, became a mommy today through adoption. I feel honored to share a birthday with baby Lucy. :) Congratulations Erika and Darin!!!

Happy Birthday, Sweetie! What a fun day! And what a thoughtful family you have. I hope you save me a piece of that cake!
I love you!
