Daddy Makeover

Steven and I had our taxes prepared this evening & due to certain circumstances had to bring them along. Because of that fact we had a LONG talk with Madeleine beforehand going over the basics; sit still and be quiet. :) We explained that mommy and daddy are going to meet with a nice lady and during that meeting we need you to help us by being a good listener and sitting nicely. There was also bribery involved; we promised the girls that they could have a cookie afterwards if they behaved well.

As we were getting ready to go I did Audrey's hair; Madeleine thought it was necessary to do daddy's hair as well. She said, and I quote, "he needs to look handsome for the old lady". I don't know what made her think that the nice lady we were going to meet was old, but I grabbed the camera and recorded a little bit. Unfortunately I could not get the video to upload, but have a picture instead. I think Steven is one of the most patient people I know. :)

As you can imagine I was very nervous about bringing the girls along, however they behaved beautifully. In fact, they were given the royal treatment. The secretary gave them each a clip board loaded with paper and a huge bag of crayons to share. Here are their creations:

Madeleine drew surf boards. There is a sun in the left corner (which my scanner cut off) and water below. :)

This is Audrey's and I think it is up for interpretation. :) Whatever it is I love it!
