400

400.  It is the natural number following 399 and preceding 401.  It is also the square of 20.  And just in case you were wondering, a circle is divided into 400 grads which is equal to 360 degrees.  Even more interesting still is the fact that this is my 400th post.  Did my attempt at being witty make your head hurt?  It did mine.

My very first blog post was on September 7, 2007 (which you can see here).

Madeleine was 4.5
and Audrey was not quite 2.

A lot has happened in those 400 posts.  I have chronicled the ups and downs of motherhood (admittedly, mostly the ups), documented the growth of my girls, tried my hand at photography, and brushed up on my writing skills.  I started Memorable Moments as a way to remember this season of my life, but it has also served as a way for family and friends (especially those I don't get to see very often) to feel connected to us.

As much as I love to talk, I make more sense when I have the time to really think about what I am going to say first.  Blogging has given me that time and even if no one else reads what I have to say, I hope the effort I have put into Memorable Moments will be something that my girls will treasure in the years to come.  Because, ultimately they are the reason I blog.

I am looking forward to what the next 400 posts will bring.

I for one, am very thankful for your blog. It makes it seem like I am still part of your family. I love being able to see the girls grow up. I also am very impressed with your math knowledge. You should try tackling that College Algebra class again. I bet you would ACE it!!!!!!
Love you!
