When we arrived to Holmes Lake I quickly realized that I picked a horrible day for a walk. The thermometer in the van read 50 degrees, but with the wind whipping around the way it was it felt much colder. Audrey denied every offer I made to turn around and go back. We walked the entire 3 miles and she loved every moment of it.
Posing for a quick picture on top of the dam.
And another one on a bridge. Shortly after this picture was taken, she requested to get out and walk. I was afraid that would slow us down, but what I quickly found was that I had a hard time keeping up with her.
She is so used to having her picture taken often, that she now requests it. She asked me to take her picture here.
Run, Audrey, Run!
A view of the lake we walked around.

Every evening at dinner we go around the table and share our favorite part of the day. Well, on our way home from the lake Audrey piped up from the back seat and said, "this was my favorite part of the day". Mine too.
