Water Babies

Yesterday evening we all went to the home of Madeleine's good friend, Abby, and swam in their pool. As you may recall from this post Madeleine was overcome by the fear of drowning last time and would not remove her floaties. I am happy to report that this time she swam floatie-free. Steven and I told her that Audrey would have to wear the floaties this time since she is shorter. When we got to the pool, Madeleine slipped in without hesitation. Audrey started off in the floaties, but quickly realized she could stand pretty well on her own and would be more mobile without them. They came off as quickly as we put them on. My youngest has NO FEAR. Audrey was requesting to be thrown into the pool and was jumping in from the steps. All the adults were on guard for our fearless water baby since we never knew what she might try next. :) I wish I had pictures of that evening, but I do have these of the girls swimming in our small pool in the backyard.
