On Saturday we were able to go to Star City Shores (for free) for our church's annual VBS kickoff. This was the first time I have been able to attend & other than the cool temperatures (it was in the 60's at the time of our swim) we had a blast!

Madeleine started off in a life jacket, but gradually became brave enough to swim without it.
Audrey really enjoyed this fountain spraying water on her. As far as she was concerned it was the highlight of our day.
Madeleine eventually submersed her whole body (excluding her face) into the water
Our fearless Audrey eventually became too cold to swim anymore. Her lips were blue and her entire body was shivering. Here she is warming up.
Madeleine and Steven braved the chilly waters until the bitter end.
No more relaxing, however because tomorrow begins Vacation Bible School. I will be helping with the 2nd graders this year. They are anticipating 100 kids in the 2nd grade room and 700 kids over all!! Pray that the week would go smoothly and that a child who may not know Jesus yet will see Him in me.

Katie! Looks like you had a fun time! All of you girls look adorable in your new suits! :) I will be praying for you for VBS this week. The kids & I have been praying at 10am everyday this week for First Free's back yard Bible Clubs going on & so we will include Bereans VBS! God is going to do some amazing things this week! I have 9 total kids at my house today till 1:30pm! I'll be tuckered! I've been getting up early to walk! It helps me have more energy! Talk soon! Amy J.
