Pictures From VBS

The girls & I participated in VBS this week & what a FUN week it was! This year I had the privilege of helping in the 2nd grade class. I was assigned to 6 kiddos for the week and enjoyed getting to know them. One of the little boys asked me if I was always a second grade teacher because he wanted to make sure I could be his teacher next year. Here I am with my great group of kids. This year the kids were able to enjoy a LARGE bouncy slide as well as barrel train rides. The theme this year was Son Rock Kids Camp. Here are the girls posing in front of some of the props and decorations. Throughout the week the children learned how they were accepted by Jesus, protected by Jesus, saved by Jesus, forgiven by Jesus, and how they can live for Jesus. Yesterday Audrey told me with a big smile on her face, "Jesus died on the cross for me". So while the music was awesome, the slide and the train were fun, the most important lesson of of the week is the fact that Jesus died on the cross for us so we may live in heaven with Him someday. It gives me goosebumps to see Jesus working in the life of a 3-year-old and countless other children.

I think Audrey's smile sums up her week
