Yesterday evening at the end of a busy day (VBS in the morning & dance class in the evening) I felt a strong desire to leave the house & go for a walk. It happened to be raining at the time, but I did not let that stop me because the feeling I needed to walk was so strong. I grabbed my umbrella and took off walking. As I typically do when I walk I started to pray about what I am thankful for and what I am anxious about. I have never felt so relaxed as I listened to the rythm of the raindrops hitting my umbrella and smelled the sweet scent of wet grass.
Then I looked up and saw this
and just when I thought it couldn't get any better I saw this, a double rainbow. 
I really feel like it was God's gift to me at that moment. It was as if God was reminding me of His promises and revealing to me what happens when I take a moment to Be Still.

Ya know, I wanted to go walking last night and I tried to call you! I saw the rainbow too right after I put the kids to bed. We got them up to see it...we didn't get the double one!
Katie- I was walking last week & it was approaching 6am! We had noticed that off in the distance it was raining...miles away. Anyhow, I pray, too as I walk & I was giving God all the things on my mind, past, present, & future, & specifically my desire to take care of my body & expresed to God that it is NOT on my own at all that I can do this, but that it would honor Him first & then my husband & kids. Then, I looked & there was the most beautiful rainbow! I smiled & said Thanks God for caring for me & that your promises are true! :) He is so great! Amy J.
