For about a month Madeleine has been complaining that her tap shoes are too tight. My reply was always, "I'm sorry honey. We'll have to buy you some new ones". The problem was I always conveniently forgot until Saturday morning came and we had to squeeze her feet into the tiny tap shoes. I didn't know how I was going to replace them on our tight budget. Then it donned on me that I could see what Once Upon A Child had in the way of dance attire. For those of you who don't know it is a second hand children's clothing (and more) store. I just have to share what I found because I am usually horrible at finding bargains. I found her a pair of gently used tap shoes for $2.50 (a savings of about $18) and a new long sleeved leotard for $3.50 (A savings of about $25). I spent a whopping $6.00 on new danceware. She was very excited when I presented her with the new shoes and the diamond studded leotard (very hard to see the bling in the picture). I think I did pretty well, if I do say so myself. :)
