Random Stories

My family likes to tease me about my random thoughts and stories that pop up out of no where. Well, here are some random stories that popped into my head and I feel the urge to share.

This morning on our way to pre-school Madeleine sat in the backseat of the van chattering just like she always does, but then she said something that made me stop and take notice. As she was watching the trees, houses, and other cars go by she said "God made the trees and the houses and the cars". I reaffirmed what she said and replied, "Yes He did". She then went on to say, "Jesus lives my heart just like I used to live in your tummy".

When the girls were babies I would rock them to sleep and sing the song, "Baby Mine". In fact, up until recently Madeleine thought the title of the song was "Baby Madeleine". Anyway, Madeleine has started singing this song to Audrey when she is crabby or sad. I am actually rather impressed by how well she can sing it and remember the words. It has had quite an impact on Audrey because yesterday on our way home from church we could hear her singing it to herself in her soft baby voice. However, all we could make out were the words Baby Mine and the rest was Audreynese. :)

Finally, this afternoon while I was cooking dinner I gave the girls strick instructions not to come into the kitchen. I asked that they find something to do like play in the playroom for example. After all they have a TON of toys to choose from. However, this is what I found them doing instead:

Madeleine was giving Audrey rides in the laundry basket. I give them 10 points for creativity and imagination.
