Christmas Past

I love Christmas and today on the eve of it I am reflecting on Christmases past.  I love looking at old Christmas pictures and reflecting on how much the girls have grown with each new year.

Madeleine's first Christmas (2003).  She is looking at the tree with much curiosity.

Our first Christmas as a family.

Christmas 2004.  Madeleine was 20 months old.  She received her first baby doll and as you can tell by the pictures, she LOVED it!

Christmas 2005 we welcomed a new member of the family . . .

This picture speaks volumes.  As amazing as it was to have Audrey home in time for Christmas, it was also mildly stressful bringing home a preemie.  I tried and tried to get a nice picture of Madeleine and Audrey together, but it wasn't happening.  I finally had to give Madeleine this candy cane as a bribe to stand in front of the tree nicely.

Christmas 2006.  Audrey was no longer frail and was old enough to enjoy opening presents (although the wrapping paper was more fun than the presents themselves).

Christmas 2007.  One of the things I remember about this year is that the girls were finally healthy after being sick the month leading up to Christmas.

Christmas 2008.  We started our now annual tradition of taking a family picture in front of the tree.

Merry Christmas from our family and God's blessings to you in the New Year!!

But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
Luke 2:10-14
