Madeleine's 1st Day of 2nd Grade . . . A Little Delayed

Although yesterday was officially the first day of school, Madeleine missed it due to an unfortunate bout with a stomach bug.  Luckily, it left as quickly as it came and she was able to go to school today.  She just wanted to make a grand entrance. 

Here is my 2nd grader.  Is it just me or does she look very old (dare I say, mature) in this picture??

Next year she will be going to kindergarten, but I am not ready to talk about that yet.

Walking into her room.  I really wanted to go in as well, but Steven suggested I back off.  So, I told her I loved her and was on my way. 

Now I will anxiously await the arrival of the school day's end when I can hear about her first day.
