The Super Readers from Super Why came to the Children's Zoo today and we spent a fun afternoon there meeting them and having pictures taken with them. 
Of course we saw some animals too. That is a RAT Madeleine is petting. The zoo employee was kind enough to ask me if I would like to pet it and I answered with a resounding, "Um, no!" She also went on to tell me how social rats are. Oh yeah, I will go right out and purchase one as a pet. They look so cuddly! I. don't. think. so.
Another disturbing fact to add to the long list of "disturbing rat facts" is that rats can chew through cement. Oh, heaven help me!
Anyway, back to the Super Readers. This is Super Why.
There was also an activity room set up where the kids could color and watch episodes of Super Why.

I wanted to get in on the fun too.
Madeleine's favorite exhibit is the butterfly pavilion. All of God's creatures seem to be attracted to her . . . including butterflies.
I caught one too. Audrey thought she wanted to catch a butterfly, but every time I caught one and tried to place it on her finger she would say "Ewwww! Not that one!"
