The Conclusion of our Colorado Trip

Sadly, on day 6 we woke up early and headed for home. However, Steven was able to take a picture of the sun rising over the mountains (just outside our bedroom) before we did.

I snapped this picture of Pikes Peak from the highway as we drove through Denver. Good-Bye Pikes Peak! We hope to see you again soon.

I thought I would take this opportunity to show you where we stayed for 5 nights. Here is the infamous cabin that we initially thought we would never find.

This is the master suite that my parents graciously gave up for Steven and I.

Just outside the double doors . . .

was this deck. We ate dinner on it every night.

Here are the girls all snuggled into their bed.

They shared a room with Aunt Natalie. Her bed was on the opposite side of the room and it is not pictured here.

Here is Audrey entertaining herself on the drive home. She thought she was pretty funny and requested that her picture be taken.
Madeleine, on the other hand, was feeling a little camera shy.
Madeleine and Audrey loved being in Colorado and tolerated the vigorous schedule very well; I was rather impressed. We are very thankful to Grammy and Papa (my mom & dad) for taking us on such a lovely vacation. If it weren't for their generosity, I don't know when we would have the opportunity to go.

Thanks, Katie, for chronicling our trip. You did a wonderful job! I want to make it into a book. I know would love to be able to look through it again and again.
