As for how we celebrated this monumental occasion, well my family succeeded in making me feel pretty special. Madeleine & Audrey were very excited that it was my birthday. They each picked out a birthday present (Madeleine gave me a photo album and Audrey picked out a candle) & made me cards. They also helped Steven make my birthday cake. Steven said they did most of the work while he supervised. I can honestly say it was the best birthday cake I have ever sunk my teeth into. Here are my little chefs in the making:

Steven, the girls, and I celebrated a day early knowing that we would be celebrating with my whole family today, my actual birthday. My mom made me Mexican food and an apple pie for desert. However, the best part of the evening was the fellowship, or shall I say, crazy-fun-chaos!! I think the following picture does a nice job of illustrating what my sisters and I are like when we get together. 
Gracie and Natalie are fun, while I tend to be a little more uptight. When I try to be funny, it comes off as corny. I wanted a nice picture of us, but they rarely cooperate. In all seriousness, no one can make me laugh like they can. Even if I am the center of the majority of their jokes.
As soon as anyone pulls out a camera Natalie brings on the charm . . . in a weird sort of way. I guess you could say that she is "special".

In conclusion I am very grateful for the past 31 years and for my family and friends who traveled along side of me. Bring on the next 31!
