A Belated Valentine's Post

Steven and I don't usually go out for Valentine's Day. However, this year my parents took the girls over night so Steven and I could have a date night. While the girls enjoyed an afternoon of ice cream, book store browsing, dinosaur bone exploring, & games, Steven and I enjoyed a movie and dinner. We saw Sherlock Holmes & ate at The Macaroni Grill. Although we had to wait an hour and 15 minutes, The Macaroni Grill did not disappoint! We had a lovely dinner followed up by coffee at Starbucks & browsing at Barnes and Noble. We really enjoyed our time together. Since Valentine's Day falls in between our birthdays, we think that would be a great annual date night freeing us up for family time on our birthdays.

This is a picture my mom took of the girls in front of a T-Rex at Morrill Hall (a Lincoln Museum)

There was no school On Monday so we enjoyed an afternoon at our friend's house. We had a very impromptu Valentine's Party. We had so much fun. After a yummy brunch consisting of scrambled eggs and fruit, the kids watched a movie while the moms visited over coffee. We ended the party with the exchanging of Valentines.

Madeleine and Audrey were wearing the same festive Valentine's outfit as their friends Mia and Anara. Believe it or not, that was not planned. I guess you could say we share the same good taste in Valentine's attire.
We even managed to get a picture of the mommies; that never happens. Hilary's son, Tyler, was the photographer. I think he did a great job!!
