Madeleine's Room Makeover

Madeleine received new bedding for Christmas. Now that she is a very mature 6 and a half years old we decided it was time to replace the Disney Princess decor for something a little more "mature"; something that would better represent her 6 going on 16 personality.

I think the bright colors match her bright personality. It is my new favorite room in the house. It is a great place to escape the winter blues; it is always spring in Madeleine's room.

My favorite wall in the room

She was 6 months old in that picture & until now this picture did not have a place. I think we found the perfect place for it.

This is Madeleine's favorite wall. She loves cats so we snagged this poster from her school's book fair. It was $3.00 well spent.
Her window got a makeover as well.
This is her closet. We took the doors off several years ago and with this room makeover we placed curtains in the doors' place.

The girls have determined that the new closet is a fun hideout. They enjoy dramatically parting the drapes & hiding inside. Madeleine informed me that she will go in there to read, color, or hide from us when she is upset (she is very dramatic these days).

Shortly after I took this picture the curtains came crashing down.
