Madeleine's First Day of School!

Today was the day; Madeleine's first day of kindergarten! She did very well. She walked right into her classroom and found her place at her table & immediately started coloring. She was not at all sad to see Steven and I leave; she is very independent and social. My eyes were full of tears and had I blinked they would have fell down my face. I actually did very well until it was time for Steven to go to work and he made the mistake of asking how I was doing. It was at that time I cried.

Audrey and I spent the entire day with my friend Hilary and her two girls. She also dropped her two sons off at school, one of them for the first time. So, we supported each other today over coffee, shopping, and McDonalds. I am very thankful for that time because it kept me distracted and made the hours fly by.

Madeleine had lots of stories to tell us on the walk home from school; she had a great time! After grilling her with questions she asked me, "What did you do today"? When I explained that Audrey and I spent the day with Hilary, Mia, and Anara she said "Did they ask where's Madeleine"? I told her yes. ;)

Since Steven took just under 80 pictures today (he should be in the paparazzi) I wittled them down and put them in a brief slide show. Thanks for those who prayed for my peace of mind and for Madeleine. God heard and answered them.
