On Monday night Madeleine & I attended Natalie's Christmas Choral Concert. Madeleine loved it and even sang along during some parts. The next day she asked to wear her Cinderella dress so she could be pretty like Natalie. She then pranced around the house singing lovely songs just like Aunt Natalie. :)Now that Audrey is almost 100% better, Madeleine is sick. She has a sinus and ear infection. She hasn't had much to eat and wants nothing to do with her antibiotic. Yesterday afternoon she had a rude awakening. She learned that if she can't take her medicine orally the doctor will inject it. She received one shot in each leg yesterday afternoon. I was the one who had to hold her down and I cried almost as much as she did. After a ROUGH day yesterday, I am happy to report that she took her medicine like a big girl today! She hesitated, but I politely reminded her what would happen if she didn't take it. Daddy is going to stop by Target on his way home and pick up something fun out of the dollar bin. :) Madeleine said something that sums up the way many of us are feeling about the rocky start to winter/cold and flu season: "I am ready for Summer Vacation!" Can I get an Amen?!
