I hope you all had a Merry Christmas! God answered my prayers in that my family was healthy for Christmas. For the past month we have been battling sinus & ear infections, stomach flu, and pink eye. However, by the time Christmas day rolled around we were all feeling like ourselves again. We opened presents with Steven's family on Christmas Eve and my family on Christmas day. Madeleine loves the thrill of opening presents while Audrey opens the first one & is done; she wants to play with it and doesn't care to open anything else. We all had a good laugh when Madeleine opened a present and said "I got a box"! We had to explain that if she opened the box she would find the gift. Later on she opened another gift and said "I got another box"!
Even our cat, Nikki, had a nice Christmas:
She made a barricade out of an open box. I think she was trying to hide from the girls. :)

We typically leave our Christmas tree up through New Year's. However, this year is different; we have a monkey in the house. A monkey you say? Audrey is our monkey and she loves to take ornaments off of the Christmas tree. We tried baby gates and chairs to prevent her from getting to the tree, but she always out smarted us. Our Christmas tree came down yesterday.
I hope this post finds all of you well & may God bless you in the New Year.
