The Turkey Project

On Friday Madeleine came home with this turkey (although not colored yet) with instructions to work together with her family to decorate it . Since Thanksgiving is a special time of year for friendship, sharing, and family time the goal behind the project was to keep with the spirit of the season.
We worked together as a family and each one of us had a job to do. My job was to attach the turkey's feathers.
Steven's job was to write the year as well as our family name on the turkey with glue.
The girls had the fun job of sprinkling on the glitter and placing on the sequins.
Here is our finished turkey.

Madeleine took it to school today where it will be displayed until Thanksgiving. The project not only proved to be a fun way to spend our evening, but as a subject for this blog post. I have been severely lacking in ideas for blog posts lately (as you can tell by the exciting nature of this one). :)

This is so sweet! love the idea! My sisters daughter came home with a Thanksgiving project as well this year! I may try this only with a giant Christmas tree with our family this year for a cold winters night December project! Hobby Lobby is calling my name! Glad you guys had fun! :) AmyJ.

Looks like a fun project! Penelope would be insanely jealous of that turkey's beautiful plumage ;)
