Today I had the privilege of driving for and attending my first ever field trip with one of my kiddos. Audrey's pre-school class visited a nearby fire station this morning. They were able to view a fire engine (We learned the difference between a fire engine and a fire truck. I had no idea there was a difference), watch as a fire-woman got dressed up in her full protective gear & watched that same woman slide down a pole. We also got to see where they eat, sleep, and work out. They also gave the kiddos a lesson in fire safety (I wish Audrey had paid more attention to that since she is my wild child who be most likely to get herself into trouble). Here are just a few of the pictures I took.
Watching intently

I think this picture pretty much sums up how she felt about the field trip.

In this picture the fire-woman was in her full fire protective gear. She was explaining to the kids to never be afraid of a fireman/woman.

If you look closely you can see Audrey. She is in the fire engine.

And since the past couple of posts have been solely about Audrey, I thought I'd throw in a cute picture of Madeleine. I took this a couple days ago on picture day.

Have a good weekend!
