Audrey's First Day of Pre-School

Today was Audrey's first day of pre-school. She has been looking forward to this day for a long time. On Madeleine's first day of school (almost one month ago) I had to explain why she did not need to get her backpack too because only Madeleine was going to school that day. Well, today it was her turn; her special day and she did wonderful! She was grinning ear to ear when I came to pick her up 2 1/2 hours later.

In case you were wondering, I did just fine also. Her pre-school teacher is the same one Madeleine had and I adore her. I also occupied my time with other mothers at MUMs (Mothers Uplifting Mothers) which helped me tremendously. Pre-school is also a much easier transition than elementary school since you only have to say good-bye for 2 1/2 hours twice a week. However, that did not stop me from scooping her up and giving her a big hug once school was over.
