It has been a week since my last post & for me that is a long time. I am not feeling particularly witty or clever so I will sum up our rather eventful week with some of my favorite pictures.
On Monday playing catch-up on household chores was the name of the game and while I did the girls played nicely together.
On Thursday morning we went to Aunt Gracie's apartment and played with her neighbors. It is very unfortunate that I do not have pictures because Audrey and her new friend Asher danced to Michael Jackson while stuffing lemon poppyseed scones into their mouths.
Later in the afternoon we went to our friend Hilary's house.
Yes, that is a chicken. They have a pet chicken named Penelope and she was the star of the party.
On Friday we had a picnic in our backyard & blew bubbles.
Another thing worth mentioning about Friday is that we found out the hard way that Madeleine can not wear inexpensive earrings; they have to be 14k gold (just like me). One of her ears became infected and there was much drama involved. Grammy came over to save the day with a beautiful pair of diamond earrings. Poor Madeleine.
Finally, on Saturday we attended a princess birthday party for our friend Adalyn
and started practicing bike riding
We have inherited a couple of bikes over the last couple of months, so it is time that the girls learn how to ride. I'm afraid that it is easier said than done and I may recruit my dad (the expert cyclist) for help.

I feel I should mention that the "beautiful diamond earrings" are mine;I bought small diamond earrings for my girls and me with a small inheritance from my mom when she died in '01. They are not the highest quality diamonds but have a lot of sentimental value. The tiny size is just right for a sweet little girl.
I'm certainly no balerina but it looks to me like Madeleine has great form and balance. That's a great of shot of her in action.
I'm gonna be known as "the lady with the chicken" in every social circle there is, arent' I? Geesh! Looks like you all had a fun week. We sure loved having you over to play. Maybe next time we can use the pool instead of spending the hour grouching at Anara and Audrey for not being able to resist temptation!
