The Goat Whisperer

Madeleine takes after me in that she LOVES animals and with such compassion. Last week when we were at the zoo she befriended this baby goat and sat with him for quite awhile(sorry about the quality of all the photos on this post; they were taken with my phone. Shame on me for not having my camera).

Yesterday, desperate to get out of the house, Audrey and I went to our favorite park then went for a walk on a nearby trail. I watched in awe as she picked bouquets of dandelions. When I look at a dandelion I see a weed, but when Audrey sees one she sees a beautiful flower. Our walk was slow going as she picked one weed after another to add to her growing bouquet. If only we could all see the world through the eyes of a child.
