"Mommy, can we go to the zoo"?
"No Audrey. Tell me why we can't go".
"Because it's closed. It is too cold for the animals".
I am so excited to announce that the zoo opened for the spring/summer TODAY! When I told Audrey she literally shook with excitement. We were there exactly at 10:00 a.m. when the doors opened. There must be a lot of moms around Lincoln who feel the same way I do because the parking lot was already full when we got there!
Posing with a peacock. Pardon her expression. She is very difficult to photgraph!

Taking a stroll through an enchanted tunnel.
Climbing the gigantic spider web.
Being attacked by a baboon! Both Baboons were standing at the glass looking at Audrey so I told her to stand by the glass for a picture with them. Just as I was taking the picture they snapped and attacked her. We both jumped several feet in the air. Thank goodness for the glass!
Gazing at a River Otter.

And just because I think they are cute, here are some pictures of Madeleine. In the first picture she is showing off the fact that her second tooth fell out Monday; rather Grammy pulled it out. Even though it was hanging on by a corner, she would not let me pull it. She threw a royal fit. So, I did something I never thought I would do. I gave mom my blessing to pull it out. When I first noticed Madeleine's loose teeth I warned mom to keep her distance because I have memories of her pinning me down to pull out my loose teeth. However, she has apparently perfected the art over time because she swiftly pulled Madeleine's tooth. One second she was tickling her and the next second the tooth was gone.

I remember visiting that zoo with Grace, Natalie and Madeleine when I was in Lincoln while you were hospitalizwd before Audrey's birth. I remember being impressed with this place, especially with the fact that it was free. Looks like Miss Audrey enjoyed herself!
