Happy Easter!

The sermon at church this morning was based on the parable of the prodigal son. At first I did not know how it would tie into Easter until the pastor explained how scandalous it was at that time for a father to compassionately welcome his son home after squandering his money on prostitutes. Just as the father's compassion towards his son was scandalous, so is the love of our heavenly father. No matter what we do or how many times we turn our back on Him, God will always welcome us home! In fact He loves us so much that He sent His only son to die on the cross for us. And today we remember that He conquered the grave and rose again.

We had a happy Easter. The girls got dressed up in their new frilly dresses from grammy. We ate a huge lunch consisting of ham and potato casserole (among other things that I am still stuffed from eating) and the girls hunted for Easter eggs in rather chilly temperatures. It did not seem to bother them one bit, though.
Have I ever mentioned how hard it is to get a picture of Madeleine and Audrey together when they are both looking at the camera at the same time?!
This was our attempt to get a cute picture of the girls and I
Happy Easter!!
