A Great Day to be A Kid

We had a wonderful & relaxing Christmas. On Christmas Eve we went to church. Afterward we had dinner & opened presents with my family. We had such a great time eating, drinking coffee, and playing games. Madeleine described it best when she said, "today is a great day to be a kid"! On Christmas morning Steven, the girls, and I opened presents and had a big breakfast before heading to the home of Steven's family where we spent the afternoon/evening. We had a wonderful time there as well and on our way home we took a detour and looked at Christmas lights.

The girls were not the only ones to be spoiled with Christmas gifts. Steven and I were humbled by the kindness of our parents. Among other things, one of our gifts was a new bathroom floor, complete with installation, from my dad. He spent the majority of his weekend at our home installing a new bathroom floor since our old one was coming up (and we learned that it was moldy after it was removed). Since my dad spent so much time on the new floor and because he did such a fantastic job, I thought a picture of the new floor was justified here on my blog. I included Sunny in the picture for the cute factor.
I hope all of you had a merry Christmas and took a moment to be a kid again. :)
