Bloopers

On Sunday the girls participated in the Christmas Program at church. Madeleine was especially excited because as she says, "I have the most beautiful voice". Perhaps we need to work on being more humble. I helped Audrey's age group onto the stage and when I tiptoed off to the side I could see Audrey shrugging her shoulders and looking around saying, "where's mommy"? I guess I should have explained where I was going to be. Madeleine's class, on the other hand, walked onto the stage from the audience and positioned themselves on the stage. Unfortunately my short daughter headed straight to the back and the tallest boy in her class was standing in front of her. I couldn't see her! Steven was able to get a few pictures of her from his vantage point, but I was not able to see my little singer sing. Next year we will instruct her to stand in the front. :)

Audrey is front row center wearing a red dress. There were 63 3-year-olds on stage that night!

Madeleine is the second girl to the right of the nice young (tall) boy; she has her mouth open. From where I sat he blocked my view. Oh well. I eventually turned my attention to my good friend, Hilary's boys who were front row center. :)

Now I will get to the title of my post. Since the girls were all dressed up on Sunday evening I thought it would be an opportune time to take their pictures for a Christmas card. One might think that is a reasonable thought. After all, I only have two children. How hard could it be to get one good picture? Well folks, you are about to see. I usually spend a lot of time combing through pictures and picking the best ones to post on my blog. Today, I did just the opposite. I am going to show you some humdingers!

Check out Madeleine's eyes! She looks surprised.

Audrey is yawning. I second that!

Hey Audrey, do you think we are almost done?!

This is one I actually do kinda like

Believe it or not there was one pretty decent picture that I will use for my Christmas cards. It just took 35 tries to get it!

Hey, they are both facing the camera without their fingers in their noses, and both eyes open! That my friend, is SUCCESS :) As for Madeleine being in the back...I would've loved it if my son had been standing next to her instead of front row center...boys!
