Misc. Update

It's been awhile since I have posted about what has been going on in our life (I say that like we have such an exciting life). We have been enjoying the weather for the past week. One week ago today it looked as though Lincoln was going to be hit with a tornado. Once again I happened to be at work when the sirens started going off, so my co-worker and I spent the last two hours of our shift hanging out in the back room listening to the weather radio, watching the radar on weather.com, and contemplating our course of action should a tornado hit the store. The best plan we came up with is huddling in the bathroom while holding bubble wrap over our heads since we had nothing else to use for protection. Apparently there were funnel clouds reported all over Lincoln, one of which was in the vicinity of the Christian bookstore that I work at. However, none of them developed into tornadoes. It just made for a long couple hours. I could at least feel calm about the fact that Steven and the girls were in the safety of a friend's basement since we don't have one. Poor Madeleine was left traumatized by the event. I know this because a couple days later she told me that her dog, Melissa (a stuffed dog) had been hurt in a tornado. :(

I have digressed. I said that we have been enjoying the weather and then I started writing about tornadoes and bubble wrap. The days following the storm have been BEAUTIFUL! It has been in the 70's- low 80's with no humidity. We have been taking advantage by going to the zoo, taking walks, and playing in the backyard. With all the rain and stormy weather we have been having, God blessed us with some gorgeous days in return. :)
I will now end my post with a few recent pictures.
