An Evening at the Zoo

The company Steven works for, Lincoln Benefit Life, treated the entire company to an evening at the Lincoln Children's Zoo yesterday. Employees and their families had the zoo to their self as the event was after the zoo's typical hours. Even though we always get into the zoo for free since we have a pass, last night was especially fun for the girls because pony and train rides were FREE and both of those are things we don't typically do when we go to the zoo. We had a great time; here are some pictures:

Madeleine riding a horse named Cinnamon

Audrey's horse was Lindsey. The entire ride she was saying "Weeeee"! Feeding the goats

The infamous Eagle's nest Posing on the Turtle Sculpture The grand finale of the evening was the train. Audrey is saying "CHOO! CHOO!" in this picture.

Posing before the train starts moving

Audrey is our wild child and will probably grow up to LOVE roller coasters (the complete opposite of myself). I say this because she is a risk taker and very independent. On the train while Madeleine snuggles up close to Steven, as far away from the side as possible Audrey gets as close to the side as possible. Steven gave me "the look" a couple times because he wanted me to hold onto her. What he didn't know was that I tried several times to hold onto her shoulder or arm, but she kept pushing me away. We always say it's because she was born so early. She has been a fighter since day 1. :)
