Yesterday evening at dinner I shared my potty woes with Steven. He looked perplexed and said, "Maybe she isn't ready to be potty trained. I don't remember it being this hard with Madeleine".
I looked at him and said "are you kidding? That is why I have been dreading potty training Audrey".
Later that night as I was getting settled into bed I read through past entries in the journal I keep for Madeleine (I also keep one for Audrey and myself). I came upon the following entry:

Your daddy and I have been struggling to potty train you & have done everything wrong. We were also at a disadvantage because when you became of "potty training age" I started having pregnancy complications, was hospitalized, then Audrey was born. One afternoon you were showing signs that you needed to poop so I put you on the toilet. While on the toilet you said you couldn't go and that you would poop in the living room later. Sure enough while I was on the phone with grammy I heard grunting. I looked in the living room and you were pooping just as you said you would.
I hopped out of bed and showed this to Steven. He laughed and said we shouldn't be feeling discouraged yet. :) As for today, I have put Audrey in a pull up because I think we both could use a break from the constant accidents in undies. I am still putting her on the potty often, though. If any moms out there have advice for me I'd be glad to hear it.
Now enough potty talk. Here are some pictures of the girls I think are cute. On Friday evening we went out to dinner and shopping at Target. Target has a section where everything in it is a dollar, so we rummage through it often. On this particular evening they had straw hats that the girls fell in love with at first sight. Here they are modeling them:
