I just want to take a moment to congratulate Natalie on an amazing solo performance. Last night was the Fall Choral Concert at her highschool and not only did she perform in the most disginuished choir, but she also had a solo. Due to the large age gap between us & the different seasons of life we are in, I have missed out on a lot of her "growing up" years. I know she takes singing lessons and is in choirs at school, but I had no idea what kind of vocal range she had until last night. I was blown away. She is following in the footsteps of Gracie who also has an amazing voice. You would think that since we are related that I would be just as talented. Sometimes when I am singing in the shower or in my van I think I have skills; until I see a performance like the one Natalie gave.
I might catch a lot of flack for doing this, but I have included a brief video clip (10 seconds is all my camera would take). Afterall, that is what big sisters do when they are bursting with pride (even if it may embarrass her a little). I figured Grace especially would want to hear some of it since she could not be there. Enjoy!

Thanks, Katie! Her performance brought me to tears. Grace, remember the Prince of Egypt at Kimbel Recital Hall, spring 2000? Katie, I used to tear up when you played your violin in concert. Oh the memories... Wish we had video blogs in those days. What beautiful, talented women you all are! I am one proud mom.
UGH! I can not believe you put that on your blog...that was the VERY WORST part of the whole solo. i totally messed up!!!!!!!!! You are such a little nerd. :)
just to add to my previous comment...
if you were a nice sister and you really loved me...you would remove that video IMMEDIATELY!
Thank you for risking (and suffering) your younger sister's wrath by sharing that! I enjoyed it! (Sorry Natalie!)
Hey Katie! I have officially "tagged" you. Go to my blog to find out what that means!
