The girls had a great time & made lots of new friends.
Madeleine's favorite part was art (no surprise there)
| She is coloring a backpack that will hold a Spanish bible to be delivered to Latin America. |
Audrey's favorite part were the games. On this particular day she was brave enough to lay on the ground with a cup on her forehead while her classmates poured water into it. She had no reservations and was very eager to participate.
Unfortunately, her classmates didn't have great aim and she got wet. When her turn was over she said through tears, "I don't like that game". She did like this game where she stayed dry and got to run around.
She also liked this one where an animal sticker was placed on her forehead while a partner gave her clues as to what animal it was.
The girls also enjoyed the opening and closing when they got to sing. AND, since Aunt Gracie was the worship leader they got to go up and help her lead (Grace is so great with the kids that all of them got to go up and help her . . . not just her nieces).
I love this picture where I photographed an unsuspecting Madeleine as she sang her heart out.
A sweet girl asked to take mine and Madeleine's picture so now my place at VBS has been officially documented as well.
I'll wrap this up with a few more of my favorite pictures of the week (of my girls anyway. I have lots of favorites of other people's children too).
Audrey loved her crew leader, Madi.
Madeleine waiting patiently (and prettily) for her snack.
This picture is one of my favorites. The story that day was about Peter and how he denied Jesus. All of the children turned their back to the cross representing how we deny Jesus when we disobey Him. However, the bible point of the day is that God loves us no matter what!
I really enjoyed pretending to be a photographer and being surrounded by darling children all week. It was an honor to be able to serve in that way and I'm grateful to Calvary for allowing me the opportunity.
