Last week my good friend, Hilary, was in town with her family. The main reason for her trip was to be here for her father's back surgery. While the surgery was a success, he has a long road of recovery ahead and Hilary helped take care of him while she was here. We were very thankful that we were able to squeeze in a couple visits.

Later in the afternoon, we picked up Madeleine from school. Here is Toby & Madeleine shortly after their reunion. Madeleine got very excited while Toby played it cool. :)

A couple days later we got to see them again. We kept the kids for a little bit while Hilary visited her dad in recovery. While she did Audrey and Anara played tic tac toe.
And Toby taught Madeleine how to play Checkers. He was a very good teacher and insisted that Madeleine was kicking his behind. However, I think he was being a gentleman and letting her win because I know what a great Checker player he is.
She was really concentrating (or just gazing into Toby's eyes).
After Madeleine "won" the first round, Tyler got in on the second round.
It was so great to visit with our friends and we can't wait to do it again!
