Counting my Blessings

During the past month, while I have not been blogging, I have been showered with blessings & instead of blogging I've been busy counting them:

1.  After a very dry, hot, summer we've been blessed with a beautiful fall.  The temperatures have been cool and the colors an autumnal rainbow of reds, oranges and yellows. My checking account is a little "thinner" and my hips a little wider since many days have been perfect for curling up with a Pumpkin Spice Latte and a good book. The weather has also been ideal for my favorite fall tradition; a trip to the pumpkin patch. 

2.  Being able to witness some of my niece's firsts since leaving the orphanage in August.  Firsts such as feeling a cool Autumn breeze and hearing the crunching of leaves beneath her feet.

3.  Seeing my baby sister get married and witnessing their sincere love for one another & gaining an amazing brother-in-law. 

4.  Watching the girls meticulously clean out and carve the pumpkins they deemed perfect out of a sea of many. 

5.  Dressing Samantha up as Snow White for Halloween and trick-or-treating with my girls.

6.  Celebrating Audrey's 7th birthday & remembering back 7 years ago when she joined our family.  She is my whimsical little firecracker who has incredible zest for life and I am beyond blessed to be her mommy.
