Audrey Faith's Team's 6th Annual March for Babies

Update: The miracle mile signs we ordered, that should have been placed along the trail of our Lincoln walk, were in fact mistakenly placed along the trail of the Omaha walk instead.  Although I was disappointed to not see them in the sea of other signs the day we walked, I was pleased to know that the people of Omaha got to enjoy her sweet face instead.  I am also very happy to have the signs now so I could take the long awaited, sentimental pictures that mean so much to me.

 Original Post:
Today my family & I participated in the March for Babies for the 6th consecutive year, and this year we raised $800 which is the most we ever have.  The money you donated supports programs in our community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies.  The money also funds life saving research to find answers to the problems that threaten our babies.  Thank you for your generosity!!

Here we all are (minus Steve who is behind the camera) with our post walk glow.  It was hot!
I was feeling very frustrated with myself leading up to the walk because I waited until the last minute to print off my donation form only to find out that our printer was out of ink.  So, I had to swing by my mom and dad's house to print it off on the way to the walk, making us late.  Adding to my disappointment was the fact that the miracle mile signs we ordered with Audrey's before and after pictures were not placed on the trail as they should have been.  Being the sentimental sap that I am, my hopes of taking Audrey's picture in front of them were dashed.  However, the walk isn't about me and my nostalgic desires; it is about paying tribute to Audrey's miracle as well as raising awareness/funds for other families who have been effected by premature birth.
That smile . . . the reason why we walk.

After the walk the girls had fun going down this big slide . . .

. . . and jumping in the bounce house.
I am truly grateful to all of you who donated money to support us in our mission to save babies!
